Online Course description
This class is open to anyone 18+ who has basic knowledge of PhotoShop and Illustrator and wants to practice their skills with a support team using digital design tools to make digital art.
6-WEEK DIGITAL ART DESIGN CLASS
You will have 1 project a week for 5 weeks and 1 final project to complete and post for feedback in the SLACK forum (see lessons and projects below). The class will meet for 50 minutes on ZOOM once a week for a virtual meeting where you will be given instructions and information on your weekly assignments. You will need to present and post all completed digital design art projects on SLACK for all students to see and comment on to help you learn and grow. You will comment on other students' project submission on SLACK and provide your personal feedback to help other students learn and grow. I will always be available to you on SLACK to help you learn and grow in your digital design skills.
This will be your digital design art community for the 6 weeks we are together. How do you make a community work? By being part of it.
JOIN THE ZOOM MEETING:
The class will meet on ZOOM once a week, every Monday for 30 minutes for a live virtual meeting - Once you register for the class you will receive an invitation from ZOOM for our scheduled meeting dates and times.

Week 2: Line and Shape Project - Recreate a sketch using digital design tools
Week 3: Type and Space Project - Negative and white space in graphic design
Week 4: Texture Color, Value, and Form Project - Create custom assets, textures, and digital resources
Week 5: Logo Design - Make your mark
Week 6: Final Project - Create a Behance website to post your designs

I am here to give you lessons in digital design that you can use in your design processes. There are no right or wrong ideas. There are no stupid thoughts or questions. You must engage with the class to get the most out of it. You can direct message me on SLACK any time with class questions.
Online Course requirements
You will need to download ZOOM and SLACK to participate in the class.
To do well in this class, you should be familiar with Adobe PhotoShop and Illustrator.
You should also familiarize yourself with the elements of art and principles of design.
