About The Artist

Ian Henderson has been painting portraits and animals for as long as he can remember. He studied at the Heatherley School of Fine Art from 1972 to 1976 then at the City and Guilds from 1976/1978. He was involved in a series of paintings of Winston Churchill with his nephew Spencer Churchill for the American
I’ve been painting portraits and animals for as long as I can remember. market also worked alongside Bernard Hailstone RP, Portrait Painter for a short time.

He then moved to Germany doing commissions on the german market and also with the British Military plus working as an art teacher. Having spent over 25 years in Germany he returned to England in 2009 and now lives in Salfords Village in the borough of Reigate and Banstead in Surrey.
