Online Course description
Enrol in this course to learn the foundations of creating your own Natural Landscapes with oil painting, from mixing pigments on the palette to applying values of light and dark in different formations to bring your paintings to life. I will be taking you step-by-step through a series of classes starting with creating your underpainting, then building your foundations in colour and finally adding in your details; steadily bringing your own landscape painting to life. There will be chance for review and coaching in your individual pieces along the way if you so wish. These lessons are inclusive and will be a safe space for everyone to explore and develop their own style freely at their own pace.
Online Course requirements
Before starting this course you must have a series of oil colours of your choice in the values of: - Red (e.g. Crimson Lake / Cadmium Red) - Yellow (e.g Cadmium Yellow / Yellow Ochre) - Blue (Ultramarine / Prussian Blue / Phthalo Blue) - White (Titanium White / Zinc Mixing White) - Black ( To get a richer black we will make up our own using Burnt Sienna and Ultramarine) Equipment: You Will need: - A Palette Knife (for mixing colours) - A flat Palette (A glass slate will work as well) - Canvas (Medium size of your choice Stretched or Canvas Board) - Brushes (A mixture of Flats, Rounds and Filberts will do) - White Spirit / Turpentine / Safer Alternative e.g. Zest-It. (Place in a metal pot or jar with lid)
