How to publish your first course at MyhobbyCourses
Once you’re registered with myhobbycourses as Leisure Tutor and completed the 7-Step Verification process, the next step is “Publishing a Course”. To publish the course, you need to follow the following steps
1 - Publish a Course
To publish an in-person or online course click on “User profile Photo” > A dropdown will appear > click on “Publish an In-person Course”
Once you’ve clicked on “publish an in-person course”, a publishing course form will appear.
You need to complete the following details to publish a course successfully
Give a unique and descriptive title to your course
You can choose different main and sub-categories for your course (click here to check all the leisure categories)
You can select between 3 age groups for your course -> Teenagers (13 to19), Adults 18+, Child (3 to 12).
You can select four types of cancellation policies for your course ( click here to see the details of the cancellation policy)
You can choose who is suitable for this course
Course Short Description
In the course short description, you concisely tell to students what is the purpose of this course. You can add up to 250 words for a short description
Course Long Description
In the course long description, you’re supposed to explain fully about your courses, what will be the learning outcomes, how many sessions they have to attend and what will be included in the course. You can add up to 2500 words for a long description
These are defined by the tutors to inform students what things are required for the course or what accessories they should bring along to take the class. You can add up to 250 words for course requirements
Amenities are for in-person courses, you can pick up the different facilities you will provide to students at the course place. Or you can skip these fields as it is not mandatory
It is compulsory to add attractive course images, you can add images of your previous courses, workshops, or portfolio. Don’t add blur images or those with a dark background. You’re required to add minimum 5 images. Images with 283X351 dimensions look perfect when displayed on the course detail page.
Select the Venue from the dropdown option to add the address for the course.
YouTube Videos URL and Certification
You can add video links of your course if you’re running an online YouTube Channel. You can also add their names of certifications you’ve got for the course.
You can skip them as they are not mandatory fields
To add the class or batch you need to select the course start date, end date, and tutor name. They can also set a regular and discounted price for the session
Places Available: How many students can buy your session.
Sessions to attend: How many classes or hourly sessions do students have to attend.
Class/batch Strength: How many students are allowed to attend your class.
For each session, tutors have to add the class schedule where they need to set the start and end time of the session.
After completing all the above-mentioned fields for class/batch you need to click on “Add Class/Batch”
Once you fill out all the required fields click on the “Create Course" button and your Leisure Course will be published.
