This class is great for budding designers. Learn to make your own pin cushion or needle book or hair band from scratch. Children will learn to become confident in designing a small patchwork piece and develop sewing skills all in a super engaging way.
All materials provided and children can progress to get their 'sewing machine driving licence'.
Anjum has over 25 year experience in teaching pattern cutting and sewing at Heba Womens Project, Brick Lane. She hosted workshops with Bernardo children centres and community workshops at Rich mix, Shoredich.
Anjum decided to run these workshops at Heba Studio because the interest for one to make, mend or repair clothing is dying down. As a grandparent she recognises she can help to pass on the skill and fun to the next generation. This class is an ideal gift for textile students anyone with creative flair.
All material are provided. Students are welcome to bring their own small/toy machines if they need help in learning how to use it.
