The course will contain elements of learning basic songs, and basic riffs first. This will help give a **** foundation. We then move on to music theory with the use of scales. We cover songwriting, and also fingerpicking

Online Course description
The course will consist of a rock, and pop variety. Over the course of 10 weeks, we will get you playing songs both of the strumming, and fingerpicking variety. We will be mixing music theory, and songwriting to give you a full rounded understanding of what you are doing.
Week 1 - Introduction, string names, basic riffs
These are introduction riffs to get your fingers moving. Covering string names, and the basic parts of the guitar.
Week 2 - Chords, and two songs: Knocking on Heavens Door, and Stand by me
Going over the basic open chords. These will help you to build the foundation for playing songs. You will have songs to go with this, and practice.
Week 3 - Learning songs: Time of your life, and Ain't no sunshine
Time Of Your Life via greenday, and an introduction into fingerpicking with Ain't no sunshine by bill withers.
Week 4 - Learning songs: Freedom, and Wonderwall, and use of the capo
Freedom, by George Michael, and Wonderwall by Oasis. Also at this point we will be covering the use of a guitar capo.
Week 5 - Learning Songs: Don't look back in anger, and Wild Horses
Here we start covering barre chords with the Classic Oasis, and Rolling stones tunes
Week 6 - Introduction to music theory with the use of scales
After learning some songs, you will then be covered with an introduction to music theory, and scales. This will help you start to understand what you are doing on the guitar. A Lot of people have questions by this stage as in why the chords are called what they are. This will help you understand further.
Week 7 - Learning songs: Ho Hey, and Fast car
Here we start covering interesting strumming patterns, and move into a bit more advanced fingerpicking with fast car
Week 8 - Songwriting: Covering the circle of fifths, and modes
The ultimate tool for songwriters ! The circle of fifths will help you how a song is constructed
Week 9 - Learning fingerpicking: Blackbird
More advanced fingerpicking with Blackbird by the Beatles
Week 10 - Fingerpicking: Landslide
Again we move even further into fingerpicking with this classic by Fleetwood Mac
