Zim Polyphonic Music Workshop

For many years, Zimbabwean music has been passed from generation to generation by word of mouth which rendered it to be distorted. Events such as social gatherings, religious, social, political activities were punctuated by different appropriate songs which resonated contexts. Music was mostly polyphonic in nature.

The areas to be covered will include;
- The nature and scope of Zimbabwean polyphonic music,
- Characteristics of Zimbabwean polyphonic music,
- Exploring different Zimbabwean rhythms and songs,
- The application and relevance of polyphonic music to everyday life.
