We've put together a step-by-step guide to becoming an Academic Tutor.
1 - Sign-up
If you can teach subjects like Maths, Science, English, Languages, Business Studies, Music Sign Up as an Academic Tutor. As an Academic tutor, you can charge students on an hourly basis, and you can set your hourly rates.
You can signup for two types of Academic tutors
Online Academic Tutor
You are allowed to conduct sessions only via Zoom Meetings Sign up Now
In-person Academic tutor
You could conduct sessions at the student’s location or your premises. You can also set your travel policy to conduct in-person sessions. (Become an in-person tutor)
2 - Qualifications and Experience
To teach with us as an academic tutor, you should ideally have 2 years of tutoring experience and/or qualifications in Bachelors, Masters, and MPhil.
3 - Complete your Profile and Verification
Once signed up as an academic tutor, it is imperative to complete your profile (personal info) and carry out certain verifications to fetch Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum verified status.

Complete your personal info like

⦁ Add Academic you want to teach
⦁ Add Qualifications
⦁ Add Age groups you want to teach, and
⦁ Define Cancellation policy
4 - Add Profile Image
It is fundamental to add a good profile image to attract more students and gain more visibility on your profile.
Without completing all the steps, your profile will not be LIVE and searchable for students.
5 - Share with others
Lastly, broadcast your profile URL to your SMM channels, friends, family, and followers

How do I get registered on your website?
We are always looking for new tutors to join our MyHobbyCourses Tutors Team so we can help you grow your tuition business!
To tutor with us, you must be:
⦁ Age 18+
⦁ UK-based
⦁ Be able to work independently in the UK
⦁ Some years of formal tutoring experience
To create your profile, simply click on the ‘Become a Tutor’ link in the navigation bar at the top of the page.
Why do I need to verify myself?
Tutor verification is necessary and crucial part of online tutoring. We need to assure students and parents that all tutors have passed through the rigorous verification process. Get more information about our 7-step verification process.
Can I change my Username?
Usernames are unique names set by you and once they are registered you cannot change them. It is important to set a suitable username so that you don’t have to ask for alteration.
Can I become a tutor as I’m not based in the UK?
Currently, myHobbyCourses is recruiting only UK-based tutors. You must reside in the UK to successfully become a tutor with us.
I’m not able to upload verification documents what should I do?
You’re only allowed to upload in png, jpg, pdf, or jpeg format and files should have up to 2MB size. If you’re still not able to upload verification documents by any chance, you can send us via email at verify@myhobbycourses.com
I’m not able to upload my profile picture what should I do?
It won’t allow you to upload an image that is more than 2MB. But if the image is less than 2MB and still it doesn’t allow you to upload the image you need to refresh your tab pressing CTRL+R or you need to clear your cache. In the worst scenario, you can send us the image to upload to your profile at verify@myhobbycourses.com
I’m not able to add my Hourly Rate what should I do?
We allow tutors to set hourly rates from £5 to £50 for hourly sessions. It won’t allow you to add rates more than this. If you’re still struggling to add hourly rate please clear your cache or do a hard refresh by clicking CTRL+R and then try again.
